Women of Type Design

Women of Type Design is a passion project dedicated to female type designers. While in grad school doing research about type I could never find much information about female type designers. I scoured books and online blogs for days to find names and information about them with sparse results. With this project, I wanted to create a space online that made it easy for designers and students to easily find this information all in one place.


On the website I document the type faces various women throughout history have designed as well as as much biographical information that I could find about them.

I also created a video that showcases each designer along with several type specimens for each font they created. This is an ongoing project.
